Vote for my website

Tuesday June 9th.
Look at that, an entire month without updating. I didn't even post to let you all know that I was leaving for Bead & Button. It was last week and I had a wonderful time!
Anodizing with Noel Yovovich (She's had her anodized and silver pieces on the cover of Art Jewelry magazine.
Copper Electroforming with Kate Fowle Meleney
Soldered Metal Beads with Joe Silvera
Chained Crystals wtih Deanna Kittrell.
I was so impressed with Deanna Kittrells kits I purchased 3 and finished 2 of them as soon as I returned home. This is the Shaggy Loops kit and below is the Turkish round kit.
I still have one other kit from Deanna and I purchased several other various kits from different artists that I need to work on yet.

I also took a class from Celie Fago on the new bronze clay, which I absolutely love! The day of my class was the day I had to fly home so I took my piece to fire it at home. I had to order some supplies to fire the piece. Once I get it fired, I'll post that as well.
Thanks for stopping by!

Monday April 27th.
I just listed a bunch of ice cream cone beads on the bead specials page. I left most of the sets in sets of 2 so they could be used for earrings. If you see a couple colors you would like to break up, please let me know and we can discuss it.

Sunday April 19th.
Seriously, where does the time go?

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I updated! I have been busy! I’ve been making a few beads but mostly for a few special orders.

These days I seem to be more intrigued by making jewelry than beads. Here are a couple photos of what I've been up to.
This is caged crystal chain maille
This is highway chain. I got the tutorial from Beaducation, which is a wonderful website if you've never been. Lisa carries great tools and supplies and I'm always a sucker for the tutorials!
I wonder when I’ll have my fill of chain maille, I keep trying more and more patterns and it just doesn’t get old!
Thanks for stopping by!
Monday March 16th.
Bead Specials are finally up.
The sets were switched around a bit from this photo due to my pickiness but I've had such a difficult time figuring out my new Adobe PSE v7 that I just couldn't stand going back to the camera! Also, you may notice the different sizes of photos, this is also because of the new V7 that is aggrevating me to no end! I'll figure it all out......eventually, bare with me.

A local bead friend of Beatrice and I finally started up her own website so please go visit.

Tue. March 3rd.
Well, so much for New Year resolutions. I have been making beads. I had a bit of a challenge getting used to the new torch. I have beads that I'm happy with and I'll be posting bead specials later this week. For now, I'll leave you with some photos of other things I've been making. I picked up a few kits at Bead & Button last year that I never got around to making until now.  The kits are from Lisa Niven's site, Beaducation.

Ok, only one photo because I'm having some difficulty figuring out my new Photoshop Elements program. Hmm. More later.

Thursday Jan. 15th.
I'm all signed up for my Bead & Button classes and I've got my plane tickets purchased. Not after a minor setback. I went and booked all my classes and was talking to a friend about it and she asked what I was going to do about graduation? OH MY! I just spent a small fortune on classes that I can't go to! How could I forget my oldest son is graduating from 8th Middle School this year. Well, I got it all rearranged. I wasn't able to take the same classes but the one class I wanted to take was a bronze clay class with Celie Fago and the stars mus have all been aligned because there was an opening in one of her classes that I will be able to attend. I'll completely miss the shopping part because it opens after I leave but oh well.

I am now the owner of a backup torch! OOH AAH! You may remember some time back I had flames coming out of places I shouldn't have flames coming out of a torch so I needed to send it in for repair. Not that I haven't been using it but now I can part with it and hook up the back up.

I also aquired a light box that I'm thrilled to death with! I've been taking some terrific bead photos with it. I'll have specials posted next week.

We are spending the long holiday weekend up at Gorman riding our dirtbikes and quads with some friends of ours. Should be fun and the weather should be ideal!

Stay tuned!
Friday Jan. 2nd
Happy New Year!
Wow, 2008 went so fast! I think I recall one of my resolustions being that I would dedicate more time to my website, well, that didn't last long! 2009 Resolustion, try harder at 2008 resolutions!

I have some fun news! If you pick up a copy of the January issue of Step by Step beads, you'll find my beads in a necklace on page 8. The necklace, Java Jive, was made by Melissa Lee of Strands. It's a very fun necklace! Go check it out!
I have been working on sets of beads from this necklace so if you are interested in a set, please e-mail me via the "contact me" link on the left side of this page.

I'm going to be dedicating the next week to making beads as I would like to get new bead specials up. I have to send my torch in for some repairs and that will take a couple weeks so I'm hoping to get some things done before I send it off.
